Did you know, there are only 1,060 pediatric ophthalmologists in the United States? That is about 13 pediatric ophthalmologists for every 1 millioin children. There are 4 states (New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Vermont) that does not have pediatric ophthalmologists, period.
